The Tech 3 Team is pleased to announce that the Yamaha-Dunlop project will continue in 2007 with a two-rider line-up. After signing Makoto Tamada last week, Tech 3 Yamaha has completed its 2007 squad with the addition of French 250cc rider and current Tech 3 test rider Sylvain Guintoli.

ALEX BARROS will ride for the first time on the DUCATI DESMOSEDICI GP6 “Sat.” 990cc with tyres BRIDGESTONE during the test that will take place on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd November, on the Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia.

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Max Biaggi ended three days of testing the GSX-R1000 K6 at Vallelunga, Italy today in a positive frame of mind and is already looking forward to his next outing in Valencia early next month.

In 2007 Fortuna will concentrate its sponsoring activity around Jorge Lorenzo who will compete in the 250 cc MotoGP championship in the team managed by Dani Amatriain with the full factory technical support of Aprilia.

In his final race with the Honda LCR team, Australian rider Casey Stoner failed to finish today’s Valencia Grand Prix. Stoner was running in a strong fifth place when he crashed at turn six, on lap 24. Stoner was unhurt, and hugely disappointed, to end his rookie season with LCR on a Honda RC211V by crashing out.

Ducati Marlboro Team riders Troy Bayliss and Loris Capirossi finished MotoGP’s 990cc era in awesome style at Valencia today, storming to a dominant one-two finish in front of a capacity crowd of 129,000 noisy fans.

Rizla Suzuki MotoGP racer John Hopkins secured 10th place in the MotoGP World Championship by finishing 11th at today’s final Grand Prix of the season at Valencia in Spain.

Nicky’s 2006 season began in January with the first of five three-day tests. Hayden and his Repsol Honda crew put in a tremendous amount work developing the ‘next generation’ RC211V, designed specifically to beat Valentino Rossi and Yamaha. Before the season even began Hayden had completed 3819 miles during test at Phillip Island, Barcelona, Jerez and two tests at Sepang in Malaysia.

Perfect team work and the impeccable race of the North American rider of the Repsol Honda Team certify a historic double win. Dani Pedrosa awarded Rookie of the Year in the MotoGP class, Shuhei Aoyama in the 250cc and Bradley Smith in the 125cc.

Camel Yamaha Team rider Valentino Rossi slid out of the Grand Prix of Valencia today and lost his grip on the MotoGP World Championship for the first time in six years on the final day of an implausibly dramatic season.

The 2006 MotoGP Wold Championship ended today at Valencia with an exciting race that saw the Fortuna Honda riders take a secondary role in a race that decided the destiny of the title. After two tough days both Marco Melandri and Toni Elias rode with great determination, with the Italian fighting for third place in the championship.

The Kawasaki Racing Team will combine youth and experience in their rider line-up for the 2007 season, with former world champion, Olivier Jacque, making his full time return to the MotoGP grid, riding alongside current Kawasaki young gun, and fellow countryman, Randy de Puniet.

Today was the end of the 2006 MotoGP World Championship, on the Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia. Unfortunately, both PRAMAC D’ANTIN MOTOGP riders went out of the track during the race. In the Championship Final Classification, ALEX HOFMANN closed in 17th position with 30 points, while his Team mate, JOSE LUIS CARDOSO, concluded in 20th position with 10 points.

Kawasaki’s Shinya Nakano took a hard fought seventh place in today’s season ending Grand Prix of Valencia, as Nicky Hayden secured the 2006 world championship title with a third place finish.

It is done, the final qualifying session of the year and the all important grid. The titanic battle starts now, Hayden or Rossi. Qualifying times and team news in the main article. Oliver Jacque is current top pick to replace Nakano at Kawasaki after the Japanese star is set to sign with Konica Minolta Honda.
