UK government to electronically control bike speed?

I don’t need to tell you how much of a dangerous, bone headed move this would be for the SAFETY of motorcyclists, but the brainless people behind this idea think it would be best if they were allowed to control the speeds of motorcycles and keep a track of travel. Oh yeah, about those civil liberties as well…
As our supplies of crude oil dwindle world wide, are we aheaded to a future of silent electric motors? That time might be closer than you think. A handy fellow by the name of Mike has created a “powerful” [sic] electric motorcycle out of a Derbi GPR-50. With a top speed of 120km/h (75mph) and a 0-100 in a little over 9 seconds, well, at least its slightly better than a moped. The Spanish machine is normally powered by a 50cc 2-stroke engine.
