The team would be run by none other than Carl Fogarty whose FP1 project is officially due to wind up at the end of the current SBK season.

Max has also been linked to Alstare Suzuki in SBK, should his cash not be wanted again in MotoGP. Fabien Foret has been let go in an amicable split with the Corona team, so a seat is available and who doesn’t want to see Max out and about again.

Am I alone in thinking if Biaggi was on a Honda this year, and with his consistency, Rossi’s problems, 2006 could have been the year he finally won the title that has eluded and haunted him since his debut year in 1998? The very same year Erv Kanemoto was legendary to have said to Biaggi on the starting line of the first GP of the season at Suzuka “.. show them who the real 4 times champion is” referring, of course, to Michael Doohan. Biaggi promptly went out and won the race. Fact or fiction? it’s a fun story.
